Injury Blow For Ireland
Ireland have been dealt a blow ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations clash with captain Brian O’Driscoll having been ruled out of the match due to the hamstring injury he picked up against Italy last weekend.
It had been hoped that O’Driscoll would be passed fit for the match but despite being named in the team earlier in the week he has failed a fitness test. His partner in the centre last weekend Gordon D’Arcy is still doubtful for this weekend but has not been ruled out yet.
Eddie O’Sullivan has not announced who will captain the side this weekend, but last year in O’Driscoll’s absense Paul O’Connell took the captaincy.
