Gordon D’Arcy’s rehabilitation from an injury picked up during their Heineken Cup game against Bath in October seems to be almost completer with D’Arcy being named on a strong Leinster squad for this weekend’s trip to Cardiff to face the Blues.

Eric Miller will move to number eight to allow Aidan McCullen into the back row. Prop Ricky Nebbett, second-row Ben Gissing and backs John McWeeney, Kieran Lewis and Gary Brown will also get a chance to press for Heineken Cup inclusion.

Leinster (v Cardiff): Girvan Dempsey; John McWeeney, Kieran Lewis, David Quinlan, Gary Brown; Felipe Contepomi, Guy Easterby; Reggie Corrigan (capt), Shane Byrne Ricky Nebbett, Malcolm O’Kelly, Ben Gissing, Aidan McCullen, Shane Jennings, Eric Miller.

Replacements: Peter Coyle, Emmett Byrne, John Lyne, Gavin Hickie, Ciaran Potts, Victor Costello, Brian O’Meara, David Holwell, Gordon D’Arcy.
