Connacht have progressed to the quarter finals of the European Challenge Cup following their four point defeat to Montpellier yesterday. Although Connacht lost the second leg, their huge margin of victory from the first leg saw them through on aggregate.

The status of the tie as being something of a forgone conclusion did detract from the passion of the encounter however, with several instances of fighting breaking out. Despite this Connacht will be delighted to have progressed to the last 8 of the competition.
