Ireland’s young Sevens side made the final of the Dubai Seven’s Shield, but in the end they lost the final to Tunisia.

This means that Ireland finished 14 out of the 16 sides competing in the tournament. However considering it’s an extremely young side, and the fact that Ireland haven’t competed in Seven’s in the last two years, the result may not be as bad as on first glance.
