Due to the absense of a number of the Munster players due to International commitments, coach Alan Gaffney was forced to make at least 8 changes to the Munster side that beat the Ospreys at the weekend. In addition to the changes due to missing players, Gaffney has decided to rest Jim Williams, Anthony Horgan and Rob Henderson.


Despite this Gaffney has been able to name a strong squad, especially in the back-row where Dennis Leamy, David Wallace and Alan Quinlan all feature.


Meanwhile Munster have reacted angrily over the citation of Marcus Horan for racial abuse during the match on Sunday. Munster believe the citation of Horan is a cynical attempt to lessen the punishment that will most likely be given to Ospreys winger Richard Mustoe for an alleged stamping incident on Horan
