Leinster Get Second Win

Leinster got their second win of this season’s Heineken Cup and are placed nicely at the top of Pool 2 going into the first break of the competition. The neutral might claim that Leinster had the rub of the green in their win tonight, but there’s now doubting that Leinster in particular in the backs look the part of a side that could go the whole way in the Heineken Cup.

The match despite the 30 points to 11 scoreline, was a close physical affair with the sides neck and neck until a Gordon D’Arcy try in the second half gave Leinster a 12 point cushion. A late Shane Horgan try then sealed the victory for the home side. With Bougoin sitting at the bottom of the group and despite Treviso’s victory last night, the Pool looks like it’s between Leinster and Bath so this victory could be vital come the final shakedown.
