Ulster Get Off To Winning Start

Ulster were the first Irish province in European competiton this season and they started their campaign with a win thanks mainly to the boot of fly-half David Humphreys. David Humphreys led the way for his side and scored all their 21 points through five penalties and two drop goals. Cardiff’s Tom Shanklin got the only try of the night but it wasn’t enough for the visitors.

The win keeps Ulster’s Heineken Cup record intact - they haven’t lost at Ravenhill for three years - and gives Ulster a huge boost in what has been a poor season thus far.
