Alan Gaffney has named a 26 man Munster squad for their opening match in the Heineken Cup On Saturday. Despite yesterday’s news to the contrary both Donncha O’Callaghan and Shaun Payne will miss the match with injury.



The biggest shock in the squad is perhaps the dropping of Mike Mullins, who has been almost ever-present in the Munster side for the past six years. Gaffney will make a final selection later this week and all eyes will be on his choice of back rows, where he has a number of options.
