Leinster 35-13 Edinburgh
Last night Leinster retook second place in the Celtic League following their victory over Edinburgh at Donnybrook. The Leinster win was due in the main part to the efforts of Denis Hickie, who picked up two tries after coming on in the second half.
Leinster and Edinburgh were neck and neck for the majority of the match, with Edinburgh failing to convert their posession into scores. Once Hickie came on the complexion of the game changed and in the end it was a comfortable win for Leinster.
Leinster coach Declan Kidney will surely now be under pressure to give Denis Hickie his place back in the starting line-up, Hickie has only started on the bench since returning from injury. Kidney will also be happy with the performance of new signing David Holwell who picked up 15 points on his debut.
