Leinster coach Declan Kidney has wasted no time in naming new signing David Holwell in his line-up for Sunday’s home tie with Edinburgh. Holwell who comes to Leinster from New Zealand Super 12 side - Wellington Hurricanes - will start the game at out-half, with Brian O’Meara partnering him at scrum-half.


Leinster will be looking to bounce back from their defeat in Wales last week and with this in mind, Kidney has made a number of changes in the pack also with Emmett Byrne, Leo Cullen and Aidan McCullen all starting.

Leinster (v Edinburgh): G Dempsey; S Horgan, B O’Driscoll, F Contepomi, G Brown; D Holwell, B O’Meara; R Corrigan (Capt), S Byrne, E Byrne, M O’Kelly, L Cullen, A McCullen, E Miller, V Costello.



Replacements: R Nebbett, B Blaney, B Gissing, S Jennings, G Easterby, D Hickie.
