A determined performance from Leinster saw them claim a deserved win at Ravenhill, a win that ended Ulster’s 21-match unbeaten run at home. The 26-15 victory will be a huge boost for Leinster considering they were without mosf of their international players.

Munster have announced that the newly signed Tom Bowman will be available to play in tonight’s match up with Connacht in Musgrave Park. The surprise inclusion of Bowman is intended to shore up the Munster pack which has been significantly weakened with the absense of the Irish internationals.

Clontarf’s Niall O’Brien is the only change for Connacht ahead of the province’s second Celtic League match against Munster on Saturday.
O’Brien comes in for the injured James Downey who picked up an injury during the win last Saturday. O’Brien’s place on the bench will be taken by Justin Meagher.

Yesterday Munster Fans were delighted to hear the news that Irish internationals David Wallace, Frankie Sheehan and John Hayes would be available for selection for the Munster V Connacht match on Saturday night. The pack had been highlighted by a number of commentators as a weak spot for Munster and the addition of these three players looked like it would strengthen the side considerably.

Ulster coach Mark McCall has named his side for the match against Leinster on Saturday. The backline is unchanged from the one that started last weekend against Edinburgh, but in the forwards there are two changes.

Leinster have signed Wellington Hurricanes out-half David Holwell on a one-year deal from the Southern Hemisphere franchise. Most observers would agree that Leinster have struggled over the last few years in this position.

Leinster today managed to draw with one of the most fancied sides in the Celtic League - Cardiff Blues. Leinster may have been happy with the result, but the viewing public probably aren’t.

The IRFU have confirmed that an Irish side will travel to Japan for two tests next June while some of the team’s members will be on tour with the British and Irish Lions in New Zealand.
