Leinster coach Declan Kidney has announced his side to face Newport-Gwent Dragons on Friday night. With the Irish internationals all available for selection, Kidney will be able to give Reggie Corrigan, Shane Byrne, Malcolm O’Kelly, Brian O’Driscoll, Shane Horgan and Girvan Dempsey their first starts of the season.


With the return of O’Driscoll and Dempsey to the backline both Denis Hickie and Brian O’Meara are forced to drop to the bench. The former could be considered surprising considering Hickie’s recent form.


Gordon D’Arcy wasn’t eligible for selection because he is suffering from a groin strain.
