Ulster Lose Unbeaten Run

A determined performance from Leinster saw them claim a deserved win at Ravenhill, a win that ended Ulster’s 21-match unbeaten run at home. The 26-15 victory will be a huge boost for Leinster considering they were without mosf of their international players.

The key to Leinster’s victory was the fact that when playing against the stiff breeze in the first half they managed to stay level with Ulster and then they were able to use the wind to their advantage in the second half.

Ben Gissing and Christian Warner scored for Leinster in the first half with an Andy Maxwell try and a penalty making the scores even at half time.

The third quarter saw Leinster gain the upper hand with two penalties but a well worked try by Bryn Cunningham brought Ulster back into the game. Leinster soon regained the lead thanks to a Brian O’Meara penalty before a Brian O’Riordan try made the game safe late in the game.
