Gaffney Names Side

Munster coach Alan Gaffney has named his side for Munster’s season opener away to Neath/Swansea Ospreys on Friday night. The side features two changes from the side that started against Newcastle in Munster’s second pre-season friendly.


There is no starting place for Munster’s new front row Mike Storey who starts on the bench with Frank Roche coming into the starting line-up. Ireland Under-21 International Shane O’Connor who made his Munster debut in the Newcastle match starts the game in the second row in the place of Donnacha Ryan who moves to the bench.


There is no place on the side for Rob Henderson, who with the addition of new signing James Storey must be feeling the heat of the competiton for places in the centres.
