Galwey Takes Over At Shannon
Following Geoff Moylan’s decision to leave Shannon after three very successful seasons, Mick Galwey has been announced as his successor at the club. Moylan decided to leave due to family circumstances and a change in employment, leaving the door open for Galwey to step in.
Moylan will not leave the club entirely however and will remain in an advisory role. Galwey meanwhile won’t have to get used to a new club, with him having a distinguished Shannon career already spanning 20 years. Galwey has won six AIB All-Ireland league titles and 10 Munster Senior cup medals.
