O’Sullivan Makes Changes

Eddie O’Sullivan has decided to make what could only be described as quite radical changes ahead of the second test with South Africa on Saturday. O’Sullivan who called up Munster’s Shaun Payne in the absense of Gordon D’Arcy has decided to make a number of positional changes to the side due to the absense of D’Arcy.

Brian O’Driscoll will be moved to outside centre, but there is no place at inside centre for Kevin Maggs, instead Shane Horgan will be brought in off the wing to play at inside centre. This will be his first appearance at the position for Ireland.

Geordan Murphy switches wings to take Horgan’s place, while Tyrone Howe comes into the side on the wing to make up the final 15.

Its good to see the IRFU using Shane Horgan to his full and glorious effect at inside center for the first time in his International career. There is no doubt that this move will add a whole new dynamic to the squad’s back line for Saturday. I predict Horgan to take 2 tries in the game as he and O’Driscol work their magic. It will be a permenant fixture, mark my words… Good move Ireland!
