Leinster Players Back Ella

The Leinster players last night came out to express their support for their coach Gary Ella. Gary Ella’s position as Leinster coach has been the cause of a great deal of speculation in the media recently, due to his teams recent poor performances.

Ulster Hang On To Top

Ulster were made to work extremely hard for their 19 points to 8 win against bottom of the table Borders last night. Ulster would have been looking for a bonus point win to guarentee that they would stay on top, but now if Llanelli manage to get the bonus point win on Sunday in their game, Ulster will slip to second in the league. Ulster will also be missing former All Blacks centre Paul Steinmetz for their final two league games, after he suffered a broken leg late in the game. Tyrone Howe is also doubtful having suffered an ankle injury.

Munster Annihilated By Cardiff

Cardiff kept there Heineken Cup qualification hopes alive with a 9 try demolition of Munster at the Arms Park last night. Munster may have been depleted and left tired from their epic Heineken Cup semi-final last Sunday but no-one predicted they would be defeated so soundly.

Leinster Earn Draw

Leinster fought back from a half time deficit to hammer out a draw against Neath-Swansea Ospreys in the Celtic League last night. The draw see’s Leinster leapfrog Munster in the table due to last year’s Champions extremely poor form.
