Kidney Confirmed For Leinster

The Leinster branch today confirmed that former Munster coach, Declan Kidney will be replacing Gary Ella as the province’s coach come August 1st. Kidney had been linked with the job despite having signed with Welsh side Gwent Dragons ever since Gary Ella left his post at Leinster on Monday.

Kidney had been Irish assistant coach until recently but his contract was not renewed following last season’s Triple Crown win. Kidney will now have to choose a coaching staff for the province with Willie Anderson, Leinster’s forwards coach on his way to join former Leinster coach Matt Williams with the Scottish international side.
