Yesterday’s announcement by the Leinster Branch that Gary Ella would no longer be Leinster coach, has left the way open for former Ireland assistant coach Declan Kidney to take over the province.

Kidney had recently decided to take over as coach at Gwent Dragons, but the former Munster coach, had been keen on staying in Ireland prior to that. With the Leinster position now vacent, and with Kidney having a get out clause in his Dragons contract, the scene seems set for Kidney to go to Leinster.
