Gwent Dragons travelled to Connacht today and managed to get the perfect result to keep their Celtic League hopes alive.

Dragons looked like they had the match put away early on, with three first quarter tries two of which were converted by Percy Montgomery. Connacht managed to claw one try back but went in at half time 19-7 down.

Poor defence allowed Connacht to score again early in the second half leaving them only five points behind. However just like in last Sunday’s Parker Pen Challenge Cup semi-final Connacht gave away two penalties giving Dragons a 25 points to 14 victory.
