Triple Crown Glory For Ireland

While the magin of victory against Scotland today wasn’t large enough to give Ireland a chance in the Six Nations overall, the 37 points to 16 victory was enough to give Ireland their 7th Triple crown in their 117 year history.

Scotland played far better than most critics had expected and Ireland seemed to be extremely nervous throughout, but 5 tries, including 2 from Man Of The Match Gordon D’Arcy, ensured that in the end Ireland came out on top. Geordan Murphy, Peter Stringer and David Wallace also scored tries making the result that gives the Scots their first wooden spoon in 10 years.
