Ulster Back On Top

Ulster have returned to the top of the pile in the Celtic League after a comprehensive victory over Munster at Ravenhill. Ulster managed a full haul of points from the match having put four tries past Munster in the 36 points to 6 victory.

Munster managed to stay in touch during the first half with Ulster going in at the break 3 points ahead with 9 points. After half-time however, Ulster gained momentum after an opportunistic Paddy Wallace try after Mossie Lawlor lost the ball, with Munster in a good position. From then on things went downhill for Munster with them only able to manage a consolation try by replacement scrum half Frank Murphy.

The result effectively ends Munster’s Celtic League chances with them now trailing Ulster by 12 points with 7 games to go.
