Doubts over future of Celtic Competitions
Doubts over the continued future of the Celtic Cup and the Celtic League have emerged. Representatives of the Scottish, Irish and Welsh rugby unions have had “very preliminary discussions” over the future of the trophy and the Celtic League.
It’s believed that the SRU and the IRFU feel their sides are playing too many games and would like to at least scrap the Celtic Cup. The Welsh however seem to believe that the current amount of games are required to keep their clubs viable.
