No surprises in Ireland line-up

Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan has named his team for Saturday’s match against England. O’Sullivan has not sprung any surprises with the only change being the return of lock Malcom O’Kelly to the starting line-up in the place of the injured Donnacha O’Callaghan.



Ulsterman Gary Longwell will be on the bench for Saturday’s match, having being called up to fill the vacant spot. O’Sullivan believes his team can win on Saturday, believing that England couldn’t be facing a tougher assignment.

Ireland (v Wales): G Dempsey; S Horgan; G D’Arcy, B O’Driscoll (capt), T Howe; R O’Gara, P Stringer; R Corrigan, S Byrne, J Hayes, M O’Kelly, P O’Connell, S Easterby, K Gleeson, A Foley.

Replacements: F Sheahan, S Best, G Longwell, V Costello, G Easterby, D Humphreys, K Maggs
