O’Sullivan Announces Squad

Eddie O’Sullivan has announced his squad for the Six Nations opener against France on February 14th. Lions center Rob Henderson has not been included in the squad of 22, while the injured Brian O’Driscoll has been named.

Connacht Side Announced

Alan Gaffney may have been forced to make a number of changes to his side due to his players being called up to the Irish squad, but Michael Bradley has only had to make one change to his Connacht side, for Saturday’s Celtic League match against Celtic Warriors.

Ella Names Side

Leinster coach Gary Ella has named his side for their Celtic League clash with Gwent on Friday. James Norton comes back into the starting line-up at full-back with Shane Jennings named as captain.

Ulster Name Team

Ulster have named their team to face off against Celtic League leaders Llanelli at Ravenhill on Friday night. Alan Solomons has made four changes to his line-up with Kieran Campbell, Shane Stewart, Rowan Frost and out-half Adam Larkin all coming into the side.

Connacht Make Changes

Connacht have made seven changes to the side which defeat Narbonne on Saturday to bring them into the Celtic League semi-final, for this weekend’s Celtic League match away to Celtic Warriors. Connacht face a hectic schedule over the coming weeks with six scheduled Celtic League games.

Possible Home Advantage For Munster

Munster will have home advantage for the semi-finals of the Heineken Cup should they progress from their quarter final against Stade Francais. The draw for the semi-finals was made today in Dublin and see’s the winner of Munster/Stade face off against the winner of Wasps/Gloucester.

Mixed News for Eddie O’Sullivan

Irish coach Eddie O’Sullivan today recieved mixed news as Ulster outhalf David Humphreys was cleared to play in the Six Nations opener against France, but O’Sullivan has recieved a setback as Eric Miller has been been ruled out.

Munster To Face Stade

Following today’s Heineken Cup matches, Munster will now face Stade Francais in the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup. With Wasps winning convincingly in France today, Munster ended up as third seeds, preventing yet another match against Gloucester.

Munster Only Irish Team Left

Munster are now the only Irish team left in the Heineken Cup following their four try victory over Bourgoin yesterday in Limerick. The 26 points to 3 victory ensured that Munster claimed the bonus point, which assured them of qualification and a home quarter-final.
