Munster Get By Treviso

Munster coach Alan Gaffney seemed relieved today after his side survived first-half complacency, to win the match and claim the bonus points against Treviso.

Munster’s 31-20 win keeps them at the top of Pool 5, with only a home game against Bourgoin left. French sides are notoriously bad a travelling and Munster are outstanding at home, but Alan Gaffney still believes next week’s match will be difficult.

Leinster hung on at the end of another thrilling match against Sale, to win by 23 points to 16. Sale looked dangerous right up to the end but Leinster held on to deny them the draw.

Despite Sale getting a bonus point, Leinster are now sitting atop the Pool ahead of their next Heineken Cup match on Friday.

“We’ve got another difficult match next week against Bourgoin. Some French sides travel, some don’t and we’ll just have to see which Bourgoin side turns up.”
